Terms of Service
The rules for using Zuno, for guests and for hosts.
Draft — pending legal review · Last updated 2026-09-08
1. What Zuno is
Zuno is an online service that connects guests with hosts of accommodation in Egypt. Zuno is not a party to the rental, not an agent of either side, not a payment service and not the provider of the accommodation. No accommodation contract exists between you and Zuno.
2. The contract is between guest and host
When a host accepts a booking request, a rental agreement is formed directly between the guest and the host on the terms shown on the booking: dates, guests, price, deposit, house rules and accepted payment methods. Each side is responsible for performing it.
3. No payment through Zuno
Zuno collects no money, charges no commission and takes no service fee. The full price and any refundable deposit are paid by the guest directly to the host at check-in, by a method the host accepts. Zuno will never ask you for card details or a transfer.
4. Cancellation
A guest may cancel free of charge up to 7 days before check-in. Because nothing is paid in advance, no refund arises. Cancelling inside 7 days, or failing to arrive, is recorded and affects the guest rating. A host who cancels a confirmed booking without cause may be removed from the platform.
5. Verification and deposits
Guests and hosts complete identity verification before transacting. Identity documents are processed by Zuno for verification only and are never shared with the other party. A deposit, where the host sets one, is agreed in advance, recorded on the booking, paid in person and returned at checkout; a dispute about a deposit is between guest and host, and Zuno may supply the recorded booking as evidence.
6. Your obligations
Hosts must have the legal right to let the property, hold any licence local law requires, describe it accurately, and include cleaning in the displayed price. Guests must give accurate information, respect the house rules, and pay the agreed amount at check-in. Neither side may use Zuno to discriminate, to harass, or to arrange payment off-platform in order to evade these terms.
7. Liability
Zuno provides the platform as it is and answers for its own service, not for the accommodation, the conduct of a guest or a host, or the performance of a rental agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Egyptian law or, for consumers resident in the European Union, under the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence.
8. Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers resident elsewhere. Any material change is published on this page before it takes effect. The registered company name and the postal address for legal notices are published here at launch.
